SC Healthy Family Formation Coalition E-News!

The radical sexual education agenda will not go away, until we make it go away.  South Carolina’s sex education issues mirror what is happening in every school district, every state and every country in the world.

This week, the UN General Assembly receives a ‘right to education report’ that will focus NOT on education, but the ‘issue of the human right to comprehensive sexual education for children’.  Not only is explicit sex education mandated for children starting at five-years of age, if approved, parents will no longer be able to opt their child out of such programming. This has already happened in Massachusetts.

Read the report and email 164 UN Delegates telling them to reject the report.

Sign the ‘I Stand for the Family’ petition

We also need 10,000 South Carolinians to sign the ‘I Stand for the Family’ petition.  Currently, only a few hundred SC signatures have been registered. With over 3,000 SCHFF members, we can do better than that!  Ask your own networks to get involved!

The petition is a worldwide movement to preserve and protect the family from the United Nations efforts to redefine the family, deny parental rights and sexualize our children.

Most of SC On-Board with Parental Rights Amendment

Thanks to Sen. Jim DeMint for sponsoring the Parental Rights Amendment and for signers: Sen. Lindsey Graham, Rep. Henry Brown, Jr., Rep. Joe Wilson, and Rep. Gresham Barrett.  The Parental Rights Amendment states:

“that the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right. Neither the United States nor any state shall infringe upon this right without demonstrating that its government interest as applied to the child involved is of the highest order

and not otherwise served. No treaty may be adopted nor shall any source of international law be employed to supersede, modify, interpret, or apply to the rights guaranteed by this amendment.”

Why are Rep. Bob Inglis, Rep. John Spratt, and Rep. James Clyburn not supporting this amendment and therefore calling for the UN’s global elimination of parental rights?

The South Carolina Healthy Family Formation Coalition (SC HFF Coalition) is organized and staffed by Heritage Community Services. The SC HFF Coalition promotes child and family well-being by providing opportunities for statewide communication about such issues as: adolescent pregnancy, unwed childbearing, fatherlessness, sexual exploitation of our youth, dating violence and domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, gang activity and youth violence.

Coalition members support healthy family formation initiatives that integrate character-based life skills, teen pregnancy prevention with an emphasis on abstinence-centered education, and the importance of fidelity-within-marriage.

Together we can impact our culture so that forming healthy families becomes a norm, rather than the exception, for South Carolina.

Please, forward this E-News to interested friends, family and colleagues and ask them to consider joining the Coalition.
